Gen 2 is the updated model which features a sunshade back flap positioned further forward.

DRT's original body. The chin strap with Hawaiian hook securely fastens the hat in place to prevent it from flying off in strong winds or when traveling at high speeds on a boat. The back flap provides UV protection from the back of the head to the neck for sun protection. The internal Velcro adjuster allows for size adjustment.
