ILLUDE RAD RAT TRIPLE DOUBLE

The Illude Triple Double is the newest addition to the Rad Rat family. When Illude designed this bait, all they were thinking about was "bubbles!" Historically, baits that produce a lot of bubbles have an enormous impact on attracting fish. Classic examples of baits that cause enormous amounts of bubbles are the buzz bait, the jitter bug, the popper, and the infamous Whopper Plopper amongst many others.

As they were thinking through their design criteria, they had to think of how they were able to build a bait that caused loud & obnoxious surface bubbles at a minimal retrieve speed. After testing the design, they found that creating a certain amount of space between the joints at a particular angle trapped the perfect amount of air to do so. And during the testing stages of their design, “boy was it fun!”.
